Ingredients:
- 1 large cucumber (chopped into medium chunks)
- 1 head of celery (about 6 to 8 ribs – broken into medium chunks)
- 1 small handful parsley
- 1 small apple (cored and cut into segments)
- 1 small lemon (rind taken off)
- 1 inch fresh ginger (peeled)
Instructions:
1. Wash /chop/ peel all ingredients.
2. If your juicer has multiple speeds, start on low and juice the cucumber first.
3. Next, feed in the celery and parsley together — tuck the parsley inside the celery stalks so it doesn’t fly around the chute.
4. Switch your juicer to high speed.
5. Add the apple, ginger and lemon. To keep the ginger from bouncing around or getting lost in the pulp basket, place it between the apple and lemon before juicing.
6. Pour your fresh juice into a glass — most pitchers will naturally hold back the foam as you pour. Sip and enjoy right away for the best flavour and nutrient boost.
7. Want to save some for later? Store it in an airtight container in the fridge for 24 – 72 hours.
8. Fill your container right to the top before sealing — less air means slower oxidation and fresher juice.
