‘On-the-Go’ Collagen Smoothie Recipe

We know life can sometimes get very busy so it’s important to try and keep up nutritious meals throughout the day; even when you’re rushing around ticking off the ‘to-do’ list. The banana and berries are packed with antioxidants, whilst the nut butter and avocado will provide some healthy fats to avoid a glucose spike. Chia and flax seeds provide omega-3 fatty acids which help reduce inflammation. The Collagen Clinical powder provides a crucial protein to support mobile joints, stable bones, healthy muscles strong ligaments / tendons, skin and hair. Try out this smoothie recipe to nourish your body even when you’re at your busiest!

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 small banana (frozen or fresh)

  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (frozen or fresh)

  • 1tbsp healthy nut butter of choice

  • 1/4 avocado

  • 1 tsp chia seeds

  • 1 tsp flax seeds

  • 1 scoop Collagen Clinical powder (available from our clinic dispensary)

  • 1/2 cup greek or coconut yogurt

  • 125ml – 250ml of filtered water or unsweetened almond milk

  • Few ice cubes

  • Mint (optional – for garnish)

Method:

  1. Wash and prepare all of your ingredients.
  2. Place all ingredients inside the blender, start on a low speed and gradually increase to a higher speed.
  3. Blend until desired consistency
  4. Enjoy immediately or in your favourite smoothie cup whilst ‘on-the-go’!
